Talking with my two friends and Fabio
PY4AJ Deosmar PY4RT who 85 years and Fabio's uncle!
Why build a replica of
Paraset?
Simple .....The IARU defines, in section
1:56 of regulation, what is amateur radio:
"Amateur service: A radiocommunication
service for the purpose of self-training, intercommunication and technical
investigations carried out by amateurs, that is, by duly authorised persons
interested in radio technique solely with a personal aim and without pecuniary
interest.
The true essence of amateur radio is
the technical investigation and there is nothing better than "home construction"
to practice it.
The Paraset is a very interesting project,
despite its 70 years of age .
The factors that fascinate me most in
Paraset are:
1- Innovative - QRP was the first
mass-produced which contains in a single set, RX and TX ;
2- Important - was vital in fighting
the Nazis in occupied Europe during the 2nd World War ;
3- Nostalgic - Father of Fabio, besides
having been an active amateur radio was part of the FEB - Brazilian Expeditionary
Force and fought the Nazis and Fascists in Italy .
4- War effort - English is a project
that uses valves North American origin.
5-Versatile - It is a transceiver with
a crystal controlled transmission and receiver with regenerative detector
which has an amazing performance
6-Simple - It's easy to be
constructed.
There were 8 years of study and final
assembly.
I've done a series of contacts on 40
meters with my Paraset with other continents including:
K3ZO - sent and received 599
DK3FW - 579 sent at the beginning of
the QSO and received 559

Today we have two 100% working
paraset
Second in final assembly PY4RJ Mr Edward
and Mr Rodrigo PY4VR
And an exemplary transistor following
the project published in www.paraset.co.uk
PY4JR belonging to Mr Lobato
.
We are all grateful.
