Is the P.A. working? A quick and simple test

To test your pa is working simply short the antenna connection to the ground terminal. Go to transmit and press the key. You should be able to tune the PA Tuning control for max brilliance from the PA bulb. Then tune the Antenna Tuning for maximum brilliance in the other bulb. Both lamps should illuminate well. We have never managed to blow a bulb in this way but it is technically possible so we should warn you that if it is possible then it might happen!!
